The Persistent Holdings (Pty) Ltd is a 100% Black Woman-Owned Consultancy Business with the intention to positively and sustainable impact the socio-economic environment in South Africa, and ultimately Africa at large. More than a decade ago, Ms Salome Fenyane (Founder and Managing Director) took a leap of faith and left a secure corporate job as she knew with absolute certainty that something had to change in the way she impacted the world.
She knew that there was no such a thing as ‘the right time’ and that life does not care about how prepared one is. It demands people with the desire to make a difference and a will to do something about it. This took a lot of courage and determination with lot of FEAR – understandably so; as it was all new and the thought of “would I sink or swim?”; “be poor and broke?” (again); was unbearable, however the significance and relevance of her “Why” outweighed it all!
Her rich experience of working directly with over 50 SMMEs as an incubation manager, facilitator, strategic and personal coach enabled her to bite the bullet and start her own business of which she registered in 2019. This insightfulness enabled her to identify the gaps and challenges faced by many of these critical socio-economic contributors which further compromises the much needed sustainable social change.
